#3 We often end up creating God in our own image. We want a God who is controllable because we want to be God ourselves. We want to be the authority on who God is or isn’t and what’s right or wrong, but we want the mask of religion or spirituality to cover up the I-wanna-be-God reality.

#4 God has to reveal himself to us, and this is usually done through a surprise twist in the story. The Bible is a story about God and how we as people relate to him.
