About the author

David Zieroth

The author of numerous books in various genres, David Zieroth’s poetry collection, The Fly in Autumn(Harbour), won the Governor General’s Literary Award in 2009 and was nominated for the Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize and the Acorn-Plantos Award for People’s Poetry in 2010. He won the Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize for How I Joined Humanity at Last (Harbour, 1998). A short prose manuscript entitled The November Optimist was published in 2013 by Gaspereau Press. His most recent book of poetry is Albrecht Dürer and me (Harbour). His work has been included in the Best Canadian Poetryseries and been shortlisted for National Magazine and Relit Awards. In 2008 he founded The Alfred Gustav Press, a micro press for publishing poetry. He lives in North Vancouver, BC.
